“This is the first of several new and exciting fashion retailers coming to the Town Center of Virginia Beach this fall, each of which will be the first of its kind in all of Hampton Roads, Virginia,” according to Divaris. “Anthropologie will anchor the retail in the newly built Main Street Tower on the corner of Main and Town Center Drive across the street from the only Destination Maternity in the market.”

Anthropologie is expected to host its grand opening in Town Center during the Fourth Quarter of 2014.   Main Street Tower in The Town Center of Virginia Beach is comprised of a 15-story office building, 4525 Main Street, with Clark Nexsen as its major tenant, approximately 27,000 square feet of retail space, the 288 luxury Encore apartments and an 890-car covered, structured parking garage.  Additional new tenants will be announced in the near future, primarily fashion and soft furnishing retailers that will open their first and only stores in the region.

“We are extremely excited that Anthropologie has selected the Town Center for its Hampton Roads location.  Also, we’ve been seeing tremendous interest from other unique and desirable retailers with announcements of their openings to come soon,” says Divaris.

The lease was handled on behalf of the landlord, Armada Hoffler Properties, Inc., by Gerald Divaris and Sezin Cortinas, in the Virginia Beach office of Divaris Real Estate.  The tenant was represented by Elliott Kyle with The McDevitt Company.  The Town Center of Virginia Beach is leased by Divaris Real Estate, Inc., and managed by Divaris Property Management Corp.

The highly successful, mixed-use Town Center is the core of the City’s Central Business District. The project is being developed by Armada Hoffler Properties, Inc.
