David Bickford has been appointed retail sales and leasing associate of the Virginia Beach, Virginia office of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. His responsibilities include representing both retail tenants and landlords in the Southside Hampton Roads, Virginia market.

He brings to DRE over 13 years of experience in real estate negotiations, property management and construction. His previous position was as a franchise owner of HomeVestors where he conducted acquisitions of single-family residences, supervised renovations and sold over 70 houses. In this position, he was honored with the Rising Star Award from HomeVestors of America.

In 2011, David brokered over 400,000 square feet of retail and office space and took all of this shopping centers from 60 percent leased to fully occupied in under six months.

David also has experience as vice president of Bickford Construction II, Inc., where he oversaw construction and rental property management.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a minor in Business from East Carolina University, and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Virginia.

He is a member of CBDX, the next generation of Central Business District Association of Virginia Beach.
