JOHN T. WINGFIELD
Principal, Richmond, Virginia

John has recently been appointed to the position of Principal.  He has been with Divaris Real Estate, Inc. since 1996.

Prior to relocating to Richmond he served as Principal responsible for the Florida offices of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. He was instrumental in the leasing and sales of retail properties including Tampa Festival Centre, Royal Oaks Shopping Center and ParkSide Mall.  Wingfield was also Divaris Real Estate’s project manager who oversaw the redevelopment of a regional mall into netp@rk.tampabay, the largest office complex in the Tampa Bay region.   The one million square foot facility became the ideal home for large call centers, customer service and data processing centers.   Professional and personal services such as daycare, copying and mailing services, dry cleaning and banking combined with a food court and fitness center and large secured parking lot drew tenants to netp@rk.tampabay.   General Motors leased 99,693 square feet of space, Merck Medco occupies 143,274 square feet, Marriott Vacation Club took 66,380 square feet,  ALLTEL leased 74,030 square feet and John Hancock Insurance leased 48,388 in netp@rk.tampabay.

He brings over twenty-four years of real estate experience to Divaris Real Estate. His prior business activities include a position as Assistant Vice President at Saul Centers, Inc., where he was responsible for the company's southern portfolio of shopping centers in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Oklahoma, which comprised six shopping centers with 1,400,000 square feet. 

Prior to that, he was Co-founder of Capital Properties Realty. Here he listed and sold for Wells Fargo Bank, Festival at Old Bridge; $16,000,000 sale. In his first year of business, he developed a leasing and management portfolio to 1,000,000 square feet. 

John has also been a College Instructor at J. Sargent Reynolds in Richmond, Virginia where he taught real estate finance and real estate investments.  John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
