Susan Collins has been with Divaris since 1992 and has over 25 years of experience in commercial property management. As national director, she is responsible for all property management activities at Divaris. The portfolio consists of 90 office, retail and industrial properties totaling over 10 million square feet in eight states. Susan oversees a staff of 32 including eleven property managers, three assistant property managers, two property administrators, and 16 maintenance personnel.

She is an effective team leader with proven ability to manage and direct the staff in all aspects of property operations. As a well-seasoned professional, her management skills emphasize the control of expenditures, maximization of property value, and preserving the integrity of client assets. Her strengths are in financial administration, tenant relations, project management and property maintenance. Susan handles all training for the department, coordinates the annual budgetary process, reviews real estate assessments and taxes, resolves major tenant/landlord issues, and handles owner inquiries. She has developed and written the Core Management Practices for the company, developed the monthly financial reporting package to our clients, instituted an Operations and Maintenance Plan for Moisture Intrusion, Mold Prevention & Response, and has spearheaded development of the company’s Business Continuity Plan.

Prior to joining Divaris, Susan was with S. L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Norfolk, Virginia, responsible for management of a 1.5 million-square-foot retail portfolio. Her track record included lowering overall delinquencies from 22 percent to 3 percent, project management of major tenant buildouts; and obtaining a 12 percent tax reduction for one of their major projects.

She attended Radford College, the Washington Business School and the Institute of Real Estate Management. Susan is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), and a Certified Property Manager (CPM) through IREM. She served on the Board of the local IREM Chapter as Vice President of Finance in 2005 and 2006, and is currently an active participant on the Community Services Committee of CREW.
