Virginia Beach, Virginia: Michael Divaris, president of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the renewal of the office lease with the City of Virginia Beach in the Divaris-leased and-managed Independence Business Center, a six-building office/ warehouse complex located at 416 Investors Place, in Virginia Beach, Va.
The City of Virginia Beach renewed its lease for 3,315 square feet of office space and expanded into 3,742 additional square feet. The Independence Business Center office for the City houses and supports Human Services programs, more specifically Skillquest, PALS and PALS II programs. Skillquest provides day support services to adults with mental retardation who have multi-handicapping conditions. PALS provides services to children and young adults with mental retardation who need pre-school and after-school care and supervision during the school year and day-camp activities during the summer months. PALS II provides a transition service for special education graduates while they are waiting for an employment or day support program to become available.
The landlord, SIBASA Investments, was represented in the lease negotiations by Robin Gasser, office leasing associate in DRE’s Virginia Beach, Va. office.
