Divaris Completes Leases with PetSmart, Ulta and Others Throughout Hampton Roads

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and chief executive officer of Divaris Real Estate, Inc., announced the signing of four leases totaling 29,099 square feet of retail space in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

PetSmart signed a lease for 14,286 square feet of retail space at Peninsula Town Center, located at 4410 E. Claiborne Square in Hampton. PetSmart operates 1,289 stores that provide a broad range of competitively priced pet products and in-store services including pet adoption, boarding, grooming and training. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the tenant by Debbie Wake of the Richmond office of Divaris Real Estate.  DRE is the exclusive tenant representative for PetSmart in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has secured more than one dozen locations in Hampton Roads, along with central and western Virginia markets. PetSmart is one of more than 75 retailers nationwide that are represented by Divaris in their search for new sites.

Ulta signed a lease for 10,500 square feet in Crossways Shopping Center, located at 1412 Greenbrier Parkway, in Chesapeake. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the landlord, JLP-Chespeake, LLC, by David Redmond, as well as the tenant by Mary McGovern and Sezin Cortinas, all of DRE’s Virginia Beach office. Ulta is the largest beauty retailer that provides one-stop shopping for prestige, mass and salon products and salon services in the United States. Ulta offers a unique combination of more than 20,000 beauty products and a full-service salon in all 675 stores in 46 states.  The tenant joins Ross Dress For Less, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, The Children’s Place, Office Depot, DSW, Rack Room Shoes, Dress Barn and Value City Furniture in the Divaris-leased Crossways Shopping Center.

Noodles and Company signed a lease for 2,813 square feet on the outparcel property of Patrick Henry Mall, located at 12274 Jefferson Ave., in Newport News. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the landlord, ACL Wireless Properties, by Eric Bucklew of DRE’s Virginia Beach office. Noodles and Company is a pasta restaurant with a global noodle menu ranging from Japanese pan noodles to mushroom stroganoff.

Taco Bell signed a lease for 1,500 square feet in College Parkway Crossing at Harbour View, located at 6200 College Drive, in Suffolk. The lease negotiations were handled on behalf of the tenant by DRE’s Levi Thomson of the Virginia Beach office. Taco Bell was founded in 1962 and has 5,600 restaurants, 350 franchisees and more than 150,000 employees.
