VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE) announces the completion of nine transactions totaling 54,903 square feet of commercial space in the greater Hampton Roads region.
Edinburgh Animal Hospital purchased a 1.17-acre parcel in Edinburgh West Shopping Center located at 201 Hillcrest Parkway in Chesapeake, Va from Wal-Mart Stores East, LP for $700,000. Levi Thomson represented the buyer in the transaction. The buyer will be constructing an 8,000-square-foot building on the site.
Richard Levin purchased 8,480 square feet of retail space located at 221 East Mellen Street in Hampton, Va from Phoebus Post 48 American Legion for $600,000. Melissa Martinovich represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
Big Lots leased 29,595 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Todd Shopping Center located at 735 Thimble Shoals Boulevard in Newport News, Va. The store is relocating and expanding within the shopping center. Aeri Jai and Mary McGovern represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. Other tenants in Todd Shopping Center include: Office Depot, Northern Tool and Equipment, Grand Furniture, Advance Auto Parts, Lumber Liquidators, Catherine’s, Subway and Patient First.
The Simple Greek leased 2,000 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Landstown Commons Shopping Center located at 3388 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. Levi Thomson and Kristopher Fuller represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. The Mediterranean restaurant will occupy the former Smoked from Above barbecue space in the endcap opposite Chipotle. Other tenants in Landstown Commons include Kohl’s, Ross Dress For Less, Best Buy, A.C. Moore, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petsmart, Office Max, Carter’s, Lane Bryant, Rack Room Shoes, Buffalo Wild Wings, Massage Envy, Longhorn Steakhouse, ULTA, Walgreens, Phoenix Salon and Kirklands.
418 Dive Training Center leased 1,865 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased property located at 11 East Mellen Street in Hampton. Melissa Martinovich represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. The tenant will offer retail sale and rental of scuba equipment, scuba classroom training and scuba tank filling and the sale of vacation packages related to scuba diving.
Domoishi leased 1,368 square feet of retail space in Chesapeake Square Place located at 2400 Chesapeake Square Ring Road in Chesapeake. Aeri Jai represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Domoishi serves poke, ramen, Korean wings and Boba Tea. To date, Aeri Jai has represented Domoishi for a total of seven new locations in Southeast and Central Virginia.
Stencil & Knot leased 1,200 square feet of retail space located at 9651A First View Street in Norfolk, Va. Nicole Campbell represented the tenant in the lease transactions.
The Gallery on Mellen leased 725 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased property located at 13 East Mellen Street in Hampton. Melissa Martinovich represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. The tenant will use the space for a photography studio and office.
Insight Technology Solutions renewed its lease for 1,670 square feet of office space in the Divaris-leased Harbour Breeze Professional Center, Building 4 located at 1530 Breezeport Way in Suffolk, Va. Krista Costa and Nicole Campbell represented the landlord in the lease negotiations.
