VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA:  Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the appointment of DRE and Divaris Property Management Corp. to lease and manage the newly constructed 4525 Main Street office tower at Town Center of Virginia Beach.  Additionally, the company announces the relocation of its Richmond office to the Williams Mullen building at 200 South Tenth Street, and Divaris’ Greater Washington, DC regional office to 8000 Westpark Drive in McLean, Virginia.

“As part of our reorganization strategy to better service our corporate office clients, we are hiring additional staff to manage and lease our new portfolio.  Also we are relocating two of our offices in Virginia,” said Gerald Divaris.

The Williams Mullen building in Richmond’s Central Business District is a 269,844-square-foot office tower that was built by Armada Hoffler Properties.  The 15-story, Class A building opened in June 2010.

“The relocation of Divaris’ Washington DC regional office to McLean, Virginia from Rockville, Maryland was precipitated by our 2013 appointment as exclusive real estate consultants for the Commonwealth of Virignia,” Divaris added.

Divaris Real Estate was selected by the Commonwealth of Virginia to support the Department of General Services (DGS) and its Division of Real Estate Services (DRES) by providing transactional advisory assistance related to a wide portfolio of real estate and property-related business across the entire Commonwealth.  Divaris provides an array of corporate services including transaction management, project management, brokerage, leasing, strategic planning and portfolio consulting for Virginia’s 130 million-square-foot portfolio of leased and owned real property. The Commonwealth’s portfolio consists of approximately 400,000 acres of land in over 1,200 locations; 12,000 buildings; and 117 million square feet of space.  Additionally, Virginia leases approximately 13 million square feet of rental space in 1,500 building locations.

The Town Center’s newest tenant, Clark Nexsen, architects and engineers, are occupying three and a half floors of the new office tower at 4525 Main Street in The Town Center, which the firm designed for its headquarters.  The top floor and three other floors in the new tower at 4525 Main Street is the only remaining vacant office space that is available for lease in The Town Center of Virginia Beach.

The Town Center of Virginia Beach is a public private partnership between the City of Virginia Beach and Armada Hoffler Development Company, and is leased by Divaris Real Estate, Inc. and managed by Divaris Property Management Corp.
