VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: Michael B. Divaris, President of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the opening of a fourth Dermalogica hybrid educational center, located in Montreal, Canada. The 2,500-square-foot facility includes a 1,200-square-foot classroom and 600-square-foot of retail space. These training centers offer consumer services, shopping and professional training in one space giving the consumer a better sense of Dermalogica’s professional heritage. It also provides the opportunity for skin-care professionals to learn about merchandising in an actual store setting, getting face-to-face interaction with customers. Other Dermalogica hybrid locations include Orlando, Florida; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Atlanta, Georgia, and plans are in the works to expand to other markets.
Divaris has coordinated with Dermologica’s real estate group, represented by Ron Evans, Director of Corporate Development, for more than 15 years for its real estate requirements in the U.S. and Canada. DRE has completed more than 30 transactions including securing business offices in major cities across the country, creation of a 6,500-square-foot undergraduate training academy in New York City’s Chelsea, placement of a 60,000-square-foot distribution center on the East Coast following the completion of an economic impact survey, and relocation of Dermalogica’s global operations headquarters and 145,000-square-foot distribution facility in Los Angeles.
Dermalogica’s products are found in more than 6,500 preferred skin treatment centers, salons and spas in the USA, including concept spaces in Santa Monica, CA; London, England; Berlin, Germany; Auckland, New Zealand; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Mumbai, India. More than two decades ago, the Dermalogica brand entered the international skin care industry with a bold challenge: to shift the focus of professional skin care and products to skin health and away from esthetic beauty, emphasizing efficiency in the treatment room and personalized results through prescribed home care, rather than luxury, indulgence and pampering.
