Virginia Beach, Virginia: Gerald S. Divaris, Chairman/CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of four leases totaling approximately 12,500 square feet of retail space in Virginia.
Dollar General renewed its lease for 6,720 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Glenwood Shoppes located at 8401 Hampton Boulevard in Norfolk. The discount general store joins Pizza Hut, Subway, Hardee’s, Taco Bell and Best Western Hotel in the Food Lion-anchored neighborhood shopping center. One unit of 3,000 square feet remains vacant in Glenwood Shoppes, which serves both neighboring Old Dominion University and Norfolk Naval Station. The lease renewal was handled for the landlord, Midatlantic Builders Glenwood, LLC, by David Bickford of the Virginia Beach office of Divaris.
Lily’s As Seen on TV signed a lease for 2,144 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Valley View Station shopping center that’s located directly across the ring road from Valley View Mall in Roanoke, Virginia. Debbie Wake of DRE’s Richmond office and Sam McCoy of the Roanoke office of Divaris Real Estate, represented the landlord, Roanoke Venture II, LLC, in the lease negotiations. The variety store sells home décor, kitchen and bath products, toys and gadgets. Other tenants in Valley View Station include: Rack Room Shoes, AT&T, Sun Tan City, Oreck Vacuums, Mattress Depot, Pearle Vision and iHop.
Sunrise Pizzeria signed a lease for 2,100 square feet of retail space in Newport Marketplace at 341 Chatham Drive in Newport News, Virginia. Aeri Jai and David Bickford represented the landlord, 353 Chatham Drive Holdings, LLC, in the lease. The pizzeria joins Farm Fresh, Michael’s and Home Depot and Golden Corral in Newport Marketplace. The shopping center is leased by the Divaris Real Estate and managed by Divaris Property Management Corp. (DPMC).
General Nutrition Corporation renewed a lease for 1,600 square feet in Parkway Marketplace at 5020 Ferrell Parkway in Virginia Beach. David Redmond and Melinda Pezzella of the Virginia Beach office of DRE represented the landlord, Ferrell Parkway Associates, LLC in the lease renewal. Parkway Marketplace is anchored by Food Lion and also offers Rite Aid, Radio Shack, Chartway Federal Credit Union and Virginia ABC store as tenants. The shopping center is leased by DRE and managed by DPMC.
