Richmond, Virginia: John Wingfield, principal of the Richmond office of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with Dollar General for 8,272 square feet of retail space in Parkway Crossing. Located at 980 Hopemen Parkway in Waynesboro, Va., Dollar General joins Food Lion and the Department of Motor Vehicles in the shopping center.
Dollar General is a Fortune 500 company and leader of the dollar store segment, with more than 8,000 locations in 34 states. As a customer-driven distributor of consumer basics, the company offers household items such as cleaning supplies and health and beauty aids, as well as some apparel and food.
Kent Cardwell, of DRE’s Richmond office, represented the tenant, Dollar General, in the lease negotiations with the landlord, Parkway Associates LLC. DRE’s Cardwell has completed 23 transactions with Dollar General.
