As the General Manager of The Town Center of Virginia Beach for Divaris Property Management Corp (DPMC), Lara oversees a mixed portfolio of office and retail tenants. Her responsibilities include property administration, tenant relations, building maintenance, financial budgeting and the overall operational success of The Town Center of Virginia Beach.

Lara joined Divaris in February 2017. She has over 30 years of experience in the industry. She brings with her ten years of experience as senior property manager for CB Richard Ellis in Norfolk, Va. In that position, she managed over 745,000 square feet of assets across 17 commercial properties including capital/tenant improvements and renovations as well as Americans with Disabilities Act and government-mandated upgrades. Lara also held the position of residential property manager with Great Atlantic Management, LLC in Virginia Beach for ten years where she maintained occupancies of 95 percent or above and managed a staff of over 150 employees at 15 properties.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Radford University in Radford, Virginia, with a concentration in building development and management. She is proficient in budget and accounting software including MRI and Yardi.

Lara holds a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), LEED Green Associate, Real Property Administrator (RPA®) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA®) from Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) International. She was awarded Asset Services Employee of the Year in 2012, Chairman’s Award in 2021 and Top Asset Services Employee for Tenant Survey returns and quality results for three years in a row. Lara was featured in Globe Street’s 2022 “Women of Influence” issue.
