Richmond, Virginia:  John Wingfield, principal of the Richmond, Va. office of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with Ernst & Young for 16,668 square feet of office space in the Divaris-leased Edgeworth Building located at 2100 East Cary Street in Richmond.  With this lease, the firm will relocate its offices from the city’s Central Business District to Historic Tobacco Row, part of a 12-block historic district restored by Forest City of Cleveland, Ohio.

“We are pleased that Ernst & Young selected The Edgeworth Building for its new Richmond headquarters location.  They will be leaving their downtown high-rise building to become a part of an award-winning Class A historic district.  Their offices will have floor-to-ceiling windows, an extremely creative interior layout, on-site parking, and a lovely riverfront view,” said Brett Womack, senior vice president of sales and leasing for Divaris Real Estate.  “They also will be joining some of the finest corporate tenants in Richmond.”

Other tenants in the five-story Edgeworth Building include the law firm of Hirschler Fleischer, HKS Architects, Resort Hotel Association, Big River Marketing and Edgeworth Café.

Ernst & Young is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services that employs over 135,000 people worldwide. The company’s website can be found on the Internet at www.ey.com.

Womack represented the landlord, Forest City Commercial Group, in the lease negotiations.
