Gordon Biersch Brings Beer Brewing to The Town Center of Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Virginia: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman/CEO of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with Big River Breweries Inc., doing business as Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, for 7,900 square feet of retail space in the highly successful Town Center of Virginia Beach, located in the heart of Virginia’s largest city.

As the first of its kind in the Hampton Roads area, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant brings its tradition of on-site brewing and passion for food with a showcase of seasonal menus, daily specials and frequent changes to its regular menus.  This commitment has resulted in award-winning beers recognized at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup Competition, not to mention great food and good times at each of its 17 locations, stretching coast to coast and across the Pacific to Honolulu.

Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant is the latest retail tenant to lease space at 249 Central Park Avenue at The Town Center.  Comprised of 94,730 square feet, block 3 is a three-story, mixed-use building, which includes first-floor retail and second- and third-floor office space.  Current tenants are The Cheesecake Factory, Keagan’s Irish Pub, Rack & Rack Law Firm and Global Support Software.

The lease was negotiated by Gerald Divaris and Mary McGovern, of Divaris Real Estate Inc., representing the Landlord.  The Town Center of Virginia Beach is leased by Divaris Real Estate Inc. and is managed by Divaris Property Management Corp.  The project is being developed by Armada Hoffler Holding Company.

The Town Center of Virginia Beach is located at the core of the City’s Central Business District.  Spanning over 17 city blocks, The Town Center provides a mix of Class A office, multi-level upscale retail, deluxe residential, a performing arts center and an array of cafes, restaurants and deluxe business hotels.  Other tenants in The Town Center include:  Ann Taylor Loft; Bravo! Chang’s China Bistro; Red Star Tavern; Ruth’s Chris Steak House; Stanley Adams Stationery; Sumatra Salon & Spa; The Cheesecake Factory; The Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant; The Men’s Warehouse; Town Center City Club; and Town Center Fitness.
