McCormick & Schmick’s is the Latest Catch of The Town Center of Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Virginia:  Gerald S. Divaris, chairman/CEO of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant for 8,000 square feet of retail space in the highly successful Town Center of Virginia Beach, located in the heart of Virginia’s largest city.

With menus printed twice daily, McCormick & Schmick’s reels in only the freshest seafood from local waters and beyond, enabling the upscale-casual restaurant to offer dozens of seafood varieties, at the peak of their seasons.  Bill McCormick and Doug Schmick founded the company more than 30 years ago in Portland, Ore.  Since that time, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant has expanded to more than 50 U.S. locations, each uniquely designed to reflect the heritage of its city.

McCormick & Schmick’s is the first retail tenant to lease space in Block 6 at The Town Center.  It will be located in the performing arts center plaza in a building known as 100 Market Street. Comprised of first-floor retail and second-floor office space, Block 6 also features The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.

The lease was negotiated by Gerald Divaris and Mary McGovern, of Divaris Real Estate Inc., representing the Landlord.  The Town Center of Virginia Beach is leased by Divaris Real Estate Inc. and is managed by Divaris Property Management Corp.  The project is being developed by Armada Hoffler Holding Company.

The Town Center of Virginia Beach is located at the core of the City’s Central Business District.  Spanning over 17 city blocks, The Town Center provides a mix of Class A office, multilevel upscale retail, deluxe residential, a performing arts center and an array of cafes, restaurants and deluxe business hotels.  Other tenants in The Town Center include:  Ann Taylor Loft; Bravo! Cucina Italiana; Brooks Brothers; California Pizza Kitchen; Cold Stone Creamery; Dick’s Sporting Goods; Eclectic Design Florist & Gifts; Ficarra Jewelers; Hilton Garden Inn; Irving’s Detailing Salon; Johnny Rockets; Jones Art Gallery; Keagan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant; Morgan Stanley; P.F. Chang’s China Bistro; Red Star Tavern; Ruth’s Chris Steak House; Stanley Adams Stationery; Sumatra Salon & Spa; The Cheesecake Factory; The Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant; The Men’s Warehouse; Town Center City Club; and Town Center Fitness.
