DANVILLE, VIRGINIA:  Gerald S. Divaris, chairman/CEO of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. for 45,000 square feet of retail space in Coleman Marketplace Shopping Center, a 67-acre retail center located at the intersection of Piedmont Drive and Central Boulevard in Danville, Va.

    Pittsburgh-based Dick’s Sporting Goods is an authentic, full-line sporting goods retailer offering a broad assortment of brand name equipment, apparel and footwear in a specialty store environment.  As of May 5, 2007, the company operated 309 stores in 34 states primarily throughout the Eastern half of the U.S. 

    Gerald Divaris, of DRE’s Virginia Beach office, and John Wingfield and Debbie Wake, of the Richmond office, represented the tenant in the lease negotiations with the landlord, North American Properties.  Divaris Real Estate, in cooperation with Echo Real Estate of Pittsburgh, Pa., is assisting Dick’s Sporting Goods with its expansion plans throughout Virginia.
