DRE Brokers Sale of 4.2 Acres for
Collision Super Center in Chesapeake, VA
CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the sale of 4.2 acres to Southern Hospitality Automotive Group for a new, state-of-the-art Collision Super Center on Smith Avenue in Chesapeake, Va. Construction of the facility began immediately following the closing.
Upon completion, the existing Greenbrier Collision Center on South Military Highway will relocate to the Smith Avenue property, one block from the Group’s automotive dealerships on Military Highway. The existing center is the largest in the city and offers a number of automotive services, including towing, auto body repair and painting. Additionally, an insurance adjuster will be located at the new Collision Super Center.
As the number one automotive retailer in South Hampton Roads, Southern Hospitality Automotive Group owns several Greenbrier dealerships: Volkswagon, Kia, GMC, Chrysler, Jeep, Pontiac and Greenbrier Wholesale. The Group also owns the Lynnhaven Lincoln Mercury Kia Suzuki dealership in Virginia Beach as well as the Dodge Jeep dealership in Vienna, Va.
John M. Knibb, Senior Vice President of Divaris Real Estate, represented the buyer and seller in the transaction. Knibb, a 22-year veteran of Divaris, has an ongoing relationship with Southern Hospitality Automotive Group.
