Bed Bath & Beyond Leases 28,000-Square-Feet in Suffolk
SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA: Gerald S. Divaris,
chairman/CEO of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of
a lease for 28,000 square feet of retail space to Bed Bath & Beyond
for a new store located in the Harbour View East Shopping
Center in Suffolk, Virginia. Bed Bath & Beyond will join Kohl’s and Wal-Mart at Harbour View East. The opening of this Bed Bath &
Beyond marks the 6th store in the Hampton Roads area.
Bed Bath & Beyond was founded in
1971 and is a nationwide chain of superstores selling better quality
merchandise and home furnishings. Bed Bath & Beyond currently has
over 800 stores that range in size from 20,000 to 80,000 square feet.
Gerald S. Divaris and Mary McGovern,
Senior Vice President of Divaris Real Estate,
represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. John M. Knibb, Senior Vice President and Partner of Divaris
Real Estate, represented the landlord, Landonomics Group.
