Kohl’s to Open 68,890-Square-Foot Store in Virginia’s
Waynesboro Town Center
WAYNESBORO, VIRGINIA: John Wingfield, principal of the
Richmond office of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the
signing of a lease with Kohl’s for 68,890 square feet of retail space in Waynesboro
Town Center in Waynesboro, Va.
Located midway between Harrisonburg
and Charlottesville,

Center
on the site opened Fall of 2007 on the former Waynesboro
Outlet
Village. Kohl’s joins Petsmart,
Target and Michael's at the 400,000-square-foot mixed-use, "town
center-style" development.
Founded by the Kohl family in 1962,
Kohl’s has 930 locations planned or in operation throughout the country.
The average Kohl’s store is 86,500 square feet and is conveniently
located in suburban areas, with easy access and ample parking.
CEO/Chairman Gerald Divaris and
Senior Vice Presidents Brett Womack and Debbie Wake, of DRE’s Richmond
office, represented the tenant, Kohl’s, in the lease negotiations. Divaris Real Estate is working with
Kohl’s in executing its expansion strategy into the major markets of
Southeastern, Central and Western Virginia.
As exclusive leasing agent for Waynesboro
Town
Center,
DRE also represented the landlord, Collett
Development Co., in the lease negotiations.
