After a brave fight with cancer throughout 2018 and 2019, Alex passed away in April of 2019. We leave his biography here in memory of his many accomplishments.
Alex assisted local, regional and national investors, users and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of retail, office and industrial properties in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states.
His other areas of specialization included financial analysis and evaluation of investment grade properties. Alex handled the analysis of investment properties through ARGUS, as well as the research and marketing of investment sales materials. In addition, he helped to coordinate and assist in the due diligence and closing processes.
Alex earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and was a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He served on the Board of Directors for the Central Business District Association (CBDA), and was a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and Hampton Roads Public Transportation Alliance (HRPTA). He was a co-founder and Board member of the CBDA’s young professionals group, the CBDX, as well as a co-founder and First Director of the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art’s Associate Board, Generation MOCA. In 2014, Alex was recognized as a Top Forty Under 40 honoree, selected annually by Inside Business. He was also named a Top Sales Broker in Hampton Roads by CoStar in 2015.
