Divaris Launches Albemarle Place Leasing
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA -- Divaris Real Estate, Inc., has been appointed to handle the leasing of the town center portion of Albemarle Place in Charlottesville, Va. This exciting project, located at the corner of Hydraulic Road and Route 29, will provide a unique environment for a mixed-use complex comprising office, two hotels, a variety of residential options, main street and big box retail and a state-of-the-art stadium seating cinema complex. Unique, quality merchandise will be found in specialty boutiques. All in all, Albemarle Place will be a progressive community with a sense of history and beauty.
The 70-acre village will be designed to provide an anti-sprawl living alternative, in the form of apartments, condominiums, and townhouses for students of the University of Virginia and Albemarle County residents. Two public squares, structured parking and a high-end grocery store are expected to draw visitors from all areas of central Virginia.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2007, with a grand opening in the summer of 2009. Retail leasing will be handled by Gerald Divaris, chairman/CEO, together with Senior Vice Presidents Mary McGovern, Brett Womack, and Debbie Wake. Office leasing will be handled by President Michael Divaris and Principal John Wingfield, combining the talents of DRE’s Virginia Beach and Richmond offices on this thrilling new project.
Albemarle Place is owned and developed by Landonomics Group of Oak Brook, Il and Ezon, Incorporated from Naples, Fl. The planning and design team includes Virginia Beach-based CMSS Architects and The Cox Company of Charlottesville.
