Cox Purchases 37.21 Acres in Chesapeake CHESAPEAKE, VA. - Cox Communications, one of the nation's largest broadband communications companies, purchased 37.21 acres of land in the Crossways Business Park, located at the corner of Eden Way and Crossways Boulevard in Chesapeake, Virginia. Cox purchased two adjacent parcels, one from Armada/Hoffler Greenleaf Associates III and one from Volvo Cars of North America, Inc. for the development of a 150,000-square-foot operations and customer call center. The facility is designed to accommodate up to 600 employees. Construction is underway and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Michael Divaris, president of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. and Gresh Wall, vice president of sales and leasing of DRE's Virginia Beach office, represented the buyer, Cox Communications of Hampton Roads, LLC in the negotiations. DRE exclusively represents Cox for its real estate needs throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Other transactions DRE has handled for Cox include the leasing of almost 11,000 square feet of office space in Norfolk's Almeda Business Center. In addition, DRE is actively seeking site opportunities for Cox in Gloucester and in New Kent County on the Virginia Peninsula. Divaris Real Estate, Inc.
