Divaris Property Management Corp. will supervise the closing of 19 Hannaford stores throughout the Carolinas.

Hannaford Retains Divaris Property Management Corp. for 19 Locations

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - Hannaford Bros Co. has selected Divaris Property Management Corp. to supervise the closing and ongoing facility management for 19 store locations throughout North and South Carolina. In addition, the Portland, Maine-based grocery chain has renewed DPMC's maintenance agreement for three stores in Richmond, Virginia.

Divaris Property Management Corp. has been working with Hannaford for over five years, providing facility management for its stores throughout Richmond and Hampton Roads, Virginia. This includes street sweeping and repairs, landscaping, exterior lighting and general exterior maintenance.

Hannaford sold its operating stores in Virginia to Kroger, but has yet to finalize the disposition of its locations in North and South Carolina. This action followed the acquisition of Hannaford by Delhaize America.

"We have the overall responsibility of maintaining the stores so they can be sold in an orderly manner," stated Jay Couch, principal of Divaris Property Management Corp.

Couch, together with Jennifer Davis of DPMC's Charlotte, North Carolina, office, and Kim Kravchak, from DPMC Richmond, closed down the Hannaford locations in 12 different cities within four days.
