Commonwealth Support Systems Expands in Virginia Beach
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA: Commonwealth Support Systems is expanding their presence in Hampton Roads. The non-profit organization which provides job training for the mentally disabled, has signed leases in two properties, both located in Virginia Beach's Central Business District, and both leased and managed by Divaris Real Estate. The company signed a lease for 2,000 square feet of office space in Independence Business Center, located at 408 Investors Place in Virginia Beach. Gresh Wall of DRE's Virginia Beach office represented the Tenant, and Wall and Keith Pezzella, also of DRE's Virginia Beach office, represented the Landlord, SiBasa Investment Corporation. Commonwealth also signed a lease for 5,881 square feet of space in Southport Trade Center, located at 349 Southport Circle. Wall and Vivian Turok of DRE's Virginia Beach office represented the Landlord, Southport Elizabeth Investors, Inc. in the negotiations. Wall and John Duffy represented the Tenant. Also in Southport Trade Center is JLW Food Sales, who signed a lease with Divaris for 5,460 square feet of space. DRE represented both the Tenant and the Landlord in the negotiations.

KMC Telecom Leases 9,372 Square Feet in Twin Oaks I
NORFOLK, VA: KMC Telecom signed a lease for 9,372 square feet of office space located in the Twin Oaks I office building at 5700 Lake Wright Drive in Norfolk, Virginia. Headquartered in Bedminster, New Jersey, KMC Telecom is one of the fastest growing providers of customized telephone, data and video telecommunication services in the United States. Founded in 1995, KMC now operates 23 networks in 12 states throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. This is their second location in Virginia, the first being in Roanoke. John Duffy and Michael Divaris of DRE's Virginia Beach office represented the Tenant in the negotiations. KMC Telecom is a national client of CRESA, the office and industrial organization with which DRE is affiliated.

PROSOFT Leases 31,037 Sq. Ft. of Office Space from Highwoods
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA: PROSOFT, a major software development company, signed two leases totaling 31,037 square feet of space in Hampton and Virginia Beach. The first lease was signed for 19,404 square feet in the Highwoods Center, located in the Lynnhaven area of Virginia Beach. This location houses PROSOFT's headquarters, as well as the PROSOFT Institute. This was the first major lease signed in the new Class A Highwoods Center. The second lease was signed with PROSOFT's Integrated Training Technologies Division, for 11,633 square feet of space located in the new Highwoods Lakefront Plaza I Building in Hampton. As with Highwoods Center, the PROSOFT lease was the first major lease at Lakefront Plaza. PROSOFT has doubled its corporate revenues in the past two years, dictating their need to secure additional state-of-the-art facilities for its operations in the area. Vivian Turok of DRE's Virginia Beach office and Missy Martinovich of DRE's Peninsula office exclusively represented PROSOFT in its negotiations with Highwoods Properties.

AMERIGROUP Expands, Leases 49,417 Sq. Ft. for New Offices
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA: AMERIGROUP Corporation, a licensed HMO company, signed a lease for 49,417 square feet of office space. They will be moving their operational offices into the Divaris leased 3300 South Building, a three-story office building located at 397 Little Neck Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. AMERIGROUP's corporate offices will remain at 4425 Corporation Lane in Virginia Beach's Central Business District. AMERIGROUP occupies the first two floors of the building, and will occupy the third floor by June 1, 2000. The building was formerly occupied by Old Dominion University's Higher Education Center, which will relocate to its new facility on Princess Anne Road. Founded in 1994, and headquartered in Virginia Beach, AMERIGROUP is a national leader in the managed health care services industry. They serve over 225,000 Medicaid recipients nationally, including 130,000 children. AMERIGROUP is the largest private company exclusively serving the health care needs of low-income mothers and children, in the country. The company operates in Virginia, Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland and Texas. Vivian Turok, of DRE's Virginia Beach office, represented the Landlord in the negotiations.

Cox Communications, Expands, Signs Lease for 11,030 Sq. Ft.
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA: Cox Communications signed a lease for 11,030 square feet of office space located at 230 Clearfield Avenue in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Cox is expanding their Virginia Beach office to accommodate their direct sales, training and collections divisions. Since 1962, Cox Communications, headquartered in Atlanta, has been among the nation's largest broadband communications companies, serving some 3.3 million customers. As a full-service provider of telecommunications products, Cox offers a variety of services including: cable television, local and long distance telephone services, Internet access, direct-to-home satellite television, commercial voice and data services, and advanced digital video programming. Cox Communications recently appointed Divaris as its exclusive real estate representative for Hampton Roads, Virginia. Gresh Wall and Michael Divaris of DRE's Virginia Beach office, represented Cox in the negotiations.

Dataline, Inc. Signs 20,000 Square Foot Lease
NORFOLK, VA: Dataline, Inc. signed a lease for 20,000 square feet of office/flex space in the Norfolk Business Center, located on 2551 Eltham Avenue in Norfolk, Virginia. This location will serve as Dataline's new corporate headquarters. The company previously operated from offices on East Honeygrove Road in Virginia Beach. Established in 1990, Dataline Inc. is a computer systems integration firm. The company began as a hardware sales organization, and has steadily been changing their focus to include Intranet and Internet technologies. Dataline serves both the commercial and government sectors with over 150 employees in five offices throughout the East Coast and in San Diego, California. John Duffy, of DRE's Virginia Beach office, represented the Tenant in the negotiations.
