Richmond, Virginia: John Wingfield, principal of the Richmond office of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with Ross Stores Inc. for 30,000 square feet in Willow Lawn located at Broad Street and Willow Lawn Drive in Richmond, Va. Other tenants in the shopping center include Staples, Kroger, Old Navy, Tower Records and Golds Gym.
Ross Stores Inc., a Fortune 500 and Nasdaq 100 (ROST) company headquartered in Pleasanton, Calif., is the nation’s second largest off-price company. As of December 31, 2005, the company operated 715 Ross Stores and ten dd’s discount stores. This will be Ross’ first location in the Greater Richmond market.
With a “Dress for Less? aim, Ross features a self-service, easy-to-shop format that is conveniently located in a neighborhood shopping center. The stores offer first-quality, in-season, name brand and designer apparel, accessories and footwear for the entire family at everyday savings of 20 to 60 percent of department and specialty store regular prices. In addition, the same savings can be found on a wide variety of merchandise for the home.
Ross Stores Inc. is exclusively represented by Divaris Real Estate in Hampton Roads, Richmond and Western Virginia. The lease was negotiated by Senior Vice President Debbie Wake, of DRE’s Richmond office, and Chairman/CEO Gerald Divaris, of the Virginia Beach office.
