Danville, Virginia: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman/CEO of Divaris Real Estate Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of a lease with Ross Stores Inc. for 25,000 square feet of retail space in Coleman Marketplace Shopping Center, a 67-acre retail center located at the intersection of Piedmont Drive and Central Boulevard in Danville, Va. Ross joins Dick’s Sporting Goods, Home Depot, Old Navy and Target at the shopping center.
Ross Stores Inc., a Fortune 500 and Nasdaq 100 (ROST) company headquartered in Pleasanton, Calif., is the nation’s second largest off-price clothing company. As of Feb. 3, 2007, the company operates 771 Ross Dress for Less stores and 26 dd’s discount stores.
Gerald Divaris and Debbie Wake, senior vice president of retail sales and leasing in DRE’s Richmond office, represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Divaris Real Estate exclusively represents Ross Stores Inc. in Hampton Roads, Richmond and Western Virginia. In the past two years, DRE has secured sites for Ross Stores in Chesapeake, Christiansburg, Lynchburg, Newport News, Roanoke, and Richmond, Va.
