CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA: Construction has begun on the new 73-acre, super-regional shopping center, 5th Street Station, in the heart of southern Charlottesville. 5th Street Station brings the first Wegmans store to Central Virginia, along with 335,000 square feet of additional anchor, junior anchor and small shop opportunities. Leasing for Phase One is complete and includes the 140,000-square-foot Wegmans, the region’s first 50,000-square-foot Field & Stream and Dick’s Sporting Goods’ second store to the market. PetSmart, Panera Bread and other exciting retailers will round out Phase One. Leasing for Phase Two is underway with approximately 75,000 square feet of retail space already under negotiation.

(DRE), announced that a lease was signed with rue21 for 7,550 square feet of retail space in Crossways Shopping Center located on Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake. The tenant will join existing retailers Ross Dress for Less, DSW, TJMaxx, Marshall’s, Value City Furniture and Office Depot in the Divaris-leased and –managed shopping center.

Division has been appointed the exclusive leasing and property management firm for Morningside Plaza, located at 516 West Plank Road in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The 151,142-square-foot retail shopping center is owned by Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, LLC and is anchored by Gabriel Brothers (50,000 square feet), AC Moore (21,000 square feet), Photo Factory, Cost Cutters, Liberty Tax Services and Altoona Gourmet Buffet. The two outparcels at the shopping center are occupied by Taco Bell and Long John Silvers.
