Born in Philadelphia, raised in Portsmouth and Virginia Beach. Started career in commercial building maintenance in 1987 working at Wild Water Rapids/Ocean Breeze after school. Attended ODU for Engineering Management classes in 1990-92 while working as maintenance apprentice for EVMS. Promoted to Building Engineer Summer of 1992. Assumed position as Assistant Chief Engineer at Norfolk Medical Tower 1994 with SL Nusbaum and promoted to Maintenance Supervisor of 760 Multi Family units in 2000. Hired as Chief Engineer of Interstate Corporate Center for Harbor Group Management July 2002. Promoted to Chief Engineer of One Enterprise Center, a 360,000 sq ft 23 story class A high rise in Jacksonville, Fl. January 2005. Acquired Energy Star Label for OEC with a baseline score of 75 and elevated that score to 84, the highest of all Harbor Group properties at the time, over a three year period. Achieved US EPA Energy Star Partner designation as as well as L.E.E.D. AP Designation 2007. Assumed position as Chief Engineer of World Trade Center Norfolk a 367,000 sq ft 9 story class A property with Harbor Group July 2018 and Elevated score from 75 to 81 within two years. Continued to achieve Energy Star label for WTC even through COVID 19 benchmark changes and currently hold a 75 score at the property. A 3 year energy report card of tenure reported 5.5 million KW saved and over $1,365,000 in energy costs. Hired to same position with Divaris November 2021.
