Virginia Beach, VA (May 4, 2026) — Divaris Real Estate, headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA, announced today it has been selected as exclusive leasing agent for two Mid-Atlantic retail properties: Lakeside Crossing Shopping Center in Lynchburg, Virginia and New Town Village in Owings Mills, Maryland.
Lakeside Crossing Shopping Center | Lynchburg, VA
Located at 3901 Old Forest Road, Lakeside Crossing is a 67,034-square-foot retail center anchored by The Fresh Market, with additional national and service tenants including Petco, Panera Bread and Chipotle Mexican Grill.
Leasing services for Lakeside Crossing will be led by Divaris’ Sara Goodall, Assistant Vice President in Richmond, and Sam McCoy, Senior Vice President in Roanoke. Goodall brings long-standing Central Virginia retail relationships, and McCoy contributes 38+ years of corporate retail real estate expertise, including senior in-house roles with national retailers such as Lowe’s, Safeway, and Costco.
“We’re proud to represent ownership at Lakeside Crossing,” stated both Goodall and McCoy, “We look forward to bringing tenants that will support and drive long-term performance at the center.”
New Town Village | Owings Mills, MD
New Town Village is a 116,303-square-foot neighborhood retail center positioned as the town center of the master-planned New Town community. Current tenants include M&T Bank, McDonald’s, Merritt Athletic Club and Granny’s Restaurant, with multiple leasing opportunities including a vacant grocery/anchor space (±60,985 SF) and additional inline availabilities.
The leasing strategy for New Town Village will be led by Divaris’ James O’Neill, Managing Principal Broker of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, and Shadi Ayyoubi, Vice President in Washington, D.C. O’Neill brings 35+ years of retail brokerage and investment experience across the D.C. and Baltimore markets, while Ayyoubi adds 5+ years in CRE with $50M+ in transactions and oversight of roughly 1 million square feet of retail across the DC, Maryland, Virginia region.
“The project nestled in a densely populated area with strong retail sales and very little availability is one that we are excited to find that perfect niche retailer that isn’t in this trade area,” said O’Neill. “We feel confident that with our national outreach we can find the perfect anchor tenant to enhance this already successful neighborhood shopping center.”
As leasing begins under Divaris, the teams will prioritize a tenant mix that expands day-to-day convenience and adds community value, building on Lakeside Crossing’s grocery-anchored foundation and New Town Village’s established town-center role within its master-planned community.
