Local Pediatric Dental Practice Opens Purpose-Built Facility Following Ground-Up Development
Divaris-led team transforms an initial office search into a custom facility for Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics
Virginia Beach, VA (September 25, 2026) —
What began as a search for existing office space ultimately became a ground-up development designed specifically for the needs of a growing pediatric dental practice.
Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics officially opened its new facility at 5129 Singleton Way in Virginia Beach in June. This new location consolidates two of the practice’s four existing offices into one modern, more efficient facility designed around the experience of its young patients, their families and the practice’s clinical team.
When owner Dr. Brittany Wright began exploring options for the consolidated location, she initially considered available properties that could be leased and adapted for the practice. Working with Divaris Real Estate Senior Vice President, Marci Phillips, the search expanded to include the possibility of creating a facility from the ground up.
“Working alongside Dr. Brittany Wright to identify and secure the ideal property for her new office was incredibly rewarding,” said Phillips. “It was a privilege to help bring her vision to life and support the creation of a space that will serve her team, patients, and growing practice for years to come. Seeing this project come together made it especially meaningful.”
Phillips identified a development site within an existing shopping center and introduced Dr. Wright to Zach Odle of Creative Development Partners, a Divaris group company. The collaboration gave the practice access to coordinated brokerage, development and construction expertise throughout the project.
Creative Development Partners managed site due diligence, design coordination, permitting and construction, navigating the complexities of building within an existing shopping center.
“Dr. Wright had a clear vision for the practice she wanted to create, and our role was to help translate that vision into a facility and guide the project through due diligence, design, permitting and construction,” said Zach Odle of Creative Development Partners. “Over the course of 22 months, we worked closely with the project team to navigate challenges, one of which was securing permanent power to the site. While this was underway, the contractor continued working even without temporary power in order to keep the development moving forward. The most rewarding part of all this was watching Dr. Wright’s excitement grow as the building took shape and ultimately seeing her vision become a space designed specifically for her patients, families and team.”
The completed facility provides Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics with a location tailored to its clinical workflow, staff and young patients while creating capacity for continued growth. It includes two private treatment rooms, a consultation room and two treatment wings with five chairs each for pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, plus a glass-enclosed children’s playroom was intentionally incorporated into the design, giving young patients a dedicated space to play while allowing parents and staff to maintain clear sightlines.
