Chesapeake, VA (January 12, 2026) — As Hampton Roads continues to add modern warehouse capacity to support port-driven logistics and regional growth, Divaris Real Estate, Inc. announced today it has been selected as the exclusive leasing agent for Greenbrier Commerce Center, a new Class A industrial development located at 521 Woodlake Circle in Chesapeake, Virginia. Gerald Divaris, Chairman/CEO, and David Bickford, Senior Vice President, will lead leasing efforts.
Greenbrier Commerce Center was highlighted in a September 2025 Virginia Business report examining the region’s expanding industrial footprint. Since that report, the development has advanced with Building A completed and available for immediate occupancy, and Building B scheduled for delivery early 2026, bringing a new, highly visible industrial option to Chesapeake’s Greenbrier corridor.
“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside the Hoffler family for many years, and I’m looking forward to partnering with them on Greenbrier Commerce Center as the next generation advances that legacy,” said Gerald Divaris, Chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate. “This is a rare opportunity in Chesapeake, and our team is ready to bring the market coverage and expertise needed to deliver results.”
The project is being developed by Hoffler Land Solutions to serve companies that utilize port access with rail service. With the Port of Virginia improving channel depth and terminal operations, the region is able to move freight more efficiently, which is driving continued demand for modern warehouse and distribution space from distribution and logistics, manufacturing, and defense-sector users.
“Divaris has a track record of execution with the Hoffler organization, and that is important as we focus on the leasing phase of the project,” said Daniel Hoffler, Jr. from Hoffler Land Solutions. “Greenbrier Commerce Center is uniquely positioned to capture the region’s growing demand for modern industrial space.”
Why It Matters
Industrial development in Hampton Roads supports the broader economy by improving supply chain reliability and helping companies operate closer to customers, ports, and major transportation routes. Modern Class A facilities, like Greenbrier Commerce Center, also support employment tied to logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, and maritime industries as the region continues to attract new users and expand existing operations.
