With 35 years in the industry as both a broker and developer, Read F. Goode, Jr. uses his broad base of experience and relationships to turn his client’s problems into solutions. He has been both a broker and a developer throughout his career. These skills are actively deployed across the retail, office, multi-family and land asset classes.

In urban environments Read’s practice includes both Landlord and Tenant representation, restaurant deals, mixed-use projects, the sale and adaptive re-use of older buildings and the assemblage of land parcels to create urban in-fill multi-family and for-sale residential products.

In the counties Read is most active representing residential developers and closely-held families in the purchase and sale of land for apartments, attached and detached dense residential housing and mixed-use projects. He is also active retail tenant representative.

As a Principal, Read has purchased over 136 acres of commercial land and built or redeveloped over 600,000sf of retail and office space. This experience enables Read to see opportunities through the eyes of his clients and to understand the costs and risks involved in every type of commercial real estate transaction whether it be a sale, lease, new development or adaptive re-use.

Read’s recent notable projects include:
The adaptive redevelopment and leasing of the 97,000 sf iconic HandCraft building in Scott’s Addition
