Sezin Cortinas is a retail sales and leasing specialist for Divaris Real Estate, Inc.’s corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach. She has over 13 years of experience in commercial real estate, representing both landlords and tenants throughout the East Coast. Sezin leases The Town Center of Virginia Beach, 2 million-square-foot mixed-use development, and has led transactions of national tenants exclusive to the market, such as Anthropologie, lululemon, Free People, West Elm, Paper Source, Tupelo Honey Cafe, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, bluemercury, Shake Shack, Cava, Cantina Laredo, Dogtopia, Apex Entertainment (first one in the Southeast) and others.

Sezin represents IKEA and brokered the transaction for the company’s second store in Virginia. Other national and regional retailers she represents are: DSW, Kirkland’s, Bob’s Discount Furniture, LensCrafters, honeygrow, Cyclebar, Gelati Celesti and TASTE. She is also embarking on a new assignment serving as the master broker for Oak Furnitureland’s US expansion with a focus in Northern states in the next five years and a goal to open 75 stores. In addition, she is working on the redevelopment of the Myrtle Beach Mall. It is a 574,000-square-foot, enclosed mall that will be transitioned to a lifestyle project with retail and entertainment.

In May 2018, Sezin was awarded Chain Store Age’s prestigious “Top 10 Under 40” award.”

Sezin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University, and a Masters in Commercial Property from The Lipsey School of Real Estate. She is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Virginia and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC).
