Susan McGee of the Washington D.C. Regional office of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE) is senior vice president. She is responsible for tenant and landlord representation for retail clients and properties throughout greater Washington, DC, northern Virginia and Maryland markets. Her projects include a portfolio of shopping center properties for Perry Hall Market Place; Randolph Hills; Ashdale Plaza; Ashburn Square; Laurel Glen Shopping Center; and Layhill Shopping Center. As a tenant representative, she has worked with such tenants as Overstock Furniture; Mattress Connection and Edible Arrangements.

Her prior business activities include a position as senior leasing executive for First Washington Management, Inc. There she conducted market research, established viable rent structures, negotiated leases for stores, and assisted with the permit and construction phase and development of merchandising and marketing plans.

Susan also handled the fiscal supervision including maximizing the rental income of strip center retail properties, early replacement of unproductive tenants, preparation of annual budgets and monthly updates with reconciliation and future projections. In addition, she maintained tenant/landlord relationships throughout tenancy to renew existing leases, renegotiate various lease terms, handle tenant relocation and expansion, assignment/sale of business and lease termination.

Landlords that she has represented include: Armada Hoffler; The Wills Companies; The John Hancock Life Insurance Co.; Inland Real Estate Group; Kodiak Properties, LLC; Reliable Properties and AR Kronstadt Realty.

Susan is also a former leasing agent for A.J. Dwoskin and Associates, Inc., and Carl M. Freeman Associates, Inc. She majored in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. Susan also received her Masters of Education degree from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Susan has been a member of International Council of Shopping Centers, (ICSC) since 1986 and a member of Women in Retail Real Estate (WIRRE).
