Washington, D.C. (April 8, 2026) — Divaris Real Estate, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of James O’Neill as Managing Principal Broker of its Washington, D.C. regional office. A distinguished leader with more than 35 years of experience in the Mid-Atlantic commercial real estate sector, O’Neill will lead the firm’s strategic growth, retail, office and investment brokerage operations, and market expansion throughout the D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas.
O’Neill joins Divaris following a successful tenure as President and Principal Broker of the JT O’Neill Company, a boutique firm he founded to provide specialized retail and restaurant brokerage services. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for deep market intelligence and ability to execute complex acquisitions and leases for regional, national and international brands.

O’Neill’s professional background includes senior leadership roles at several of the industry’s most prominent firms. He previously served as Executive Vice President at Lincoln Property Company, where he directed all retail activity for the D.C. metro area. His career also features significant achievements as a top-producing broker at KLNB, Trammell Crow, Scheer Partners, and Smithy Braedon.
O’Neill is a licensed broker in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
