Sezin Cortinas is a retail sales and leasing specialist at Divaris Real Estate, Inc.’s corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach. She has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, representing both landlords and tenants throughout the East Coast. Sezin leases The Town Center of Virginia Beach, 2 million-square-foot mixed-use development, and has led transactions of national tenants exclusive to the market, such as Anthropologie, lululemon, Nike, Free People, West Elm, Paper Source, Tupelo Honey Cafe, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, bluemercury, Shake Shack, Cava, Cantina Laredo, Barnes & Noble, David’s Bridal, Apex Entertainment (first one in the Southeast) and others.
Sezin represents IKEA and brokered the transaction for the company’s second store in Virginia. Other national and regional retailers she has represented, including consulting on store expansion are: DSW, Kirkland’s, ULTA, Bob’s Discount Furniture, LensCrafters, TASTE, Xponential Fitness, Gelati Celesti, Chicken Salad Chick, Nando’s Peri Peri among others.
Sezin possesses the market and industry knowledge as well as good relationships with retailers, developers, cities/municipalities, and local/national landlords including Simon, Westfield, Inland, RPAI, Kite Realty, Seritage, Brookfield Properties, etc. Over the years, Sezin’s business activity has expanded her ability to navigate transactions on behalf of both tenant and landlord clients.
In May 2018, Sezin was awarded Chain Store Age’s prestigious “Top 10 Under 40” award.”
Sezin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Virginia and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC).
