Shari brings to the Town Center of Virginia Beach over 25 years of property management experience. She has managed office, retail, industrial and flex properties in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina comprising approximately 1.8 million square feet. She enforced annual operating budgets exceeding $30 million, prepared financial reports, handled cash management of income and expenditures consistently within 5 percent variances or less and completed year-end reconciliations. Shari negotiates contracts with vendors and suppliers to cut costs and improve services. She has developed capital expenditure budgets to create approximately 20 percent annual savings in utility usage.
She manages new construction and renovation projects for tenant buildouts and capital improvement projects and supervises property management teams of on-site and off-site property managers, administrative and maintenance personnel.
In the past, she has held positions as senior real estate manager with CBRE Hampton Roads and regional property manager at Developers Diversified Realty Corporation American Industrial Properties. Shari also worked at other companies including Cambridge Asset Advisors, LP; Heitman Virginia Management, Inc.; and JMB Properties Company.
Shari holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.
